Another successful workshop on "Molecular aspects of normal and malignant hematopoiesis"

On June 10 & 11, the 7th workshop on “Molecular aspects of normal and malignant hematopoiesis” was held. This workshop, organized by the Department of Hematology of the Erasmus MC, is intended for PhD students and postdocs from all hematology groups in Belgium and the Netherlands, so they can present their latest research and meet their colleagues.

An experienced keynote speaker from was invited for each session. This year’s keynotes were:

- Iannis Aifantis, New York University, N.Y.C., U.S.A.

- Els Mansell, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

- Ari Melnick, Weill Cornell Medicine, N.Y.C., U.S.A.

- Charles Mullighan, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, U.S.A.

- Irene Roberts, University of Oxford, Oxford, U.K.

- Jamie O'Sullivan, Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, Ireland

- George Vassiliou, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K.

The workshop was very successful and received praise from the attendees. There were more than 150 researchers from more than 10 research groups.

 

On Monday evening there was a joined dinner at Dudok in het Park.
