On October 23rd 2024, Camille Kockerols successfully defended her thesis entitled ‘Prediction of treatment-free remission with BCR::ABL1 digital PCR and evolving treatment strategies in chronic myeloid leukemia’.
Camille performed her PhD in Hematology at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Dordrecht and the Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, under supervision of Prof Dr Cornelissen, Dr Westerweel en Dr Valk. Her PhD focused on molecular monitoring in chronic myeloid leukemia and the prediction of treatment-free remission, in particular using BCR::ABL1 digital droplet PCR.
In October 2024, she proceeded her residency in hematology at the University Hospital of Ghent, under supervision of Prof Dr Offner and Prof Dr Kerre.
